All indications point to Pitch Perfect being a hit. The film opened with a limited release on September 28 and earned Universal the highest per-screen average for the weekend. It’s second week saw another $14 million in box office receipts, even up against the massive Taken 2. You can catch a quick glimpse of Judd Lormand in Pitch Perfect as the Semi-Finals Emcee.
We’ve also just learned that Judd is booked for a scene in Angry Little God, the upcoming film from director Daniel Stamm (The Last Exorcism). The film stars Mark Weber and Ron Perlman. We will have more details as they become available.
As part of an ongoing campaign with visitmississippi.org, Judd Lormand and Shanna Forrestall return to the Magnolia State later this month to shoot their third commercial together. The on-screen couple have partnered with Frontier Strategies and Dollarhide Films twice since 2010 for similar ad campaigns.
“The multi-day shoots are tough, but we’re both excited about hitting the road and doing it all over again,” said Forrestall.
In order to include as many of mississippi’s landmarks as possible the previous shoots included grueling schedules but proved worthwhile as feedback for the commercials were unanimously positive.
We do know that this time around the cast and crew will be hitting the water for most of the scenes. Stay tuned for more details!
